Manchester United receives a breakthrough in Matheus Cunha deal
Matheus Cunha set to undergo medical at Manchester United

Matheus Cunha is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United after the terms of his £62.5m release clause at Wolverhampton Wanderers were triggered.
Reports have indicated that United have met the terms of the release clause and have been given the green light to finalise the transfer for the Brazilian forward.
United and Wolves had been in contact to discuss the payment structure, with the Red Devils initially negotiating to pay the figure over five years, but will now meet Wolves’ terms of three parts over two years.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, United will pay the £62.5 million, however, the terms require three payments of £20.8m over two years.
The first of which is due to purchase and the other two at the end of 2025/26 and 2026/27.
Cunha has made 92 appearances since arriving at Molineux, initially on loan, from Atletico Madrid in January 2023, scoring 33 goals for the club.
