Ghana Premier League side Medeama has secured the signing of centre-back Richard Sackey in the ongoing transfer window.
The bulky defender has committed to a three-year contract with Mauves and Yellows, strengthening their roster for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.

Sackey joins the Tarkwa-based club on a free transfer after refusing to renew his expired contract with Aduana Stars.
The 23-year-old joined Aduana Stars at the beginning of the 2023/2024 season after the expiration of his contract with Accra Lions FC.
He played a vital role in Accra Lions’ debut league season, contributing significantly to their successful relegation survival campaign.
Medeama have been active in the transfer market as they look to bring in the right players to ensure they win the league.
Sackey’s signing adds depth to the Medeamas’ defence and is expected to contribute to the team’s efforts in the upcoming Betpawa Premier League season.
Medeama has already signed Baba Fusseini, Richard Owusu, Fuzy Taylor, and Henry Nyarko.
Sackey has already joined his new teammates in Ivory Coast, where they are preparing for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
He featured in 30 of the 34 League games for Aduana Stars during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
