Mikel Arteta has hinted that Arsenal will be looking at a contract renewal for Ghana Midfielder Thomas Partey after showing consistency in the current season.
Partey’s contract with the Gunners will expire at the end of the current campaign, and the Spanish manager has confirmed his admiration for the Ghana midfielder.
The 31-year-old’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, and speculation around his next destination is keenly being monitored.

However, the player has expressed his desire to remain in North London, as previously reported by The Telegraph.
This season marks one of Partey’s best in an Arsenal shirt, with the midfielder racking up 51 appearances across all competitions — a personal best since arriving from Atletico Madrid four-and-a-half years ago.

Partey, who is known for his injury woes and fitness issues, has finally found consistent form and health, contributing significantly to Arsenal’s solid midfield department, alongside Declan Rice.
With the current contract set to expire this summer, Arsenal are expected to offer Partey a short-term extension.
However, reports have revealed that a one-year renewal is being considered, with an optional additional year included.

When asked about Partey’s future, Arteta said: “Yeah. In regards to Thomas, consistency-wise, it’s been his best season. I think the way he’s played, performed, his availability has been exceptional, and he’s a really important player for us.”
Arsenal’s final game of the season is against an already relegated side, Southampton, with second place in the league already secured.
