MTN FA Cup: True Life FC kick out Hearts of Oak

The Phobians have suffered another early exit from the FA Cup

Division Two side True Life FC pulled off a remarkable upset in the Ghana FA Cup Round of 64, knocking out Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak with a 1–0 victory at the Pobiman Training Centre.

A composed second-half strike from Arhin, beautifully set up by Robert Nartey after a slick one-touch move, proved decisive and sent the visiting side into the Round of 32.

Despite dominating possession for long spells, the Phobians struggled to unlock True Life FC’s compact and disciplined defensive setup.

After the break, Hearts threw on key attackers Hamza Issah, George Paa Ku, Hussein Mohammed and Amankwah Baafi in search of a breakthrough, but the lower-tier side held firm.

True Life FC defended with grit, soaked up pressure, and took their chance when it mattered. Hearts huffed and puffed in the closing stages but couldn’t find the equaliser.

The result sends True Life FC into the next round, while Hearts of Oak face yet another disappointing early exit from the FA Cup.
