Darwin Nunez is wanted by Napoli and Atletico Madrid in a summer move
Napoli to battle Atletico Madrid for Liverpool flop Darwin Nunez

Napoli and Atletico Madrid are reportedly in the hunt for attacking reinforcement, with Liverpool flop Darwin Nunez being the player at the center of a transfer battle.
Nunez, who could be a target for multiple European giants this summer, is being seriously considered by Napoli and Atletico Madrid for a summer move.
Reports in Italy have revealed that Napoli are considering making a move for the Uruguayan, with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid also reportedly interested.

Despite being linked to the two European giants, potential moves to River Plate in Argentina or the Saudi Pro League are not ruled out for the 25-year-old.
The Premier League title winner could be on the move this summer, after struggling for consistency since his move from S.L. Benfica to Liverpool for a club record £85m in 2022, signing a six-year contract at Anfield.

Nunez has netted 40 goals for the Reds, but only seven in all competitions this season in an underwhelming campaign.
He has been increasingly out of favour under Arne Slot, with the Reds’ outstanding Premier League title win doing nothing to help Nunez’s case for getting back in the side.
Liverpool’s interest in Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is intensifying ahead of the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport.

Liverpool will most likely cut their losses on their record signing and cash in so that they can reinvest in a new forward, with Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak a major target for Slot.
Speculations are that Slot was avoiding starting Nunez so that Liverpool would not have to pay an additional £5m to Benfica for his 60th start for the club last month.
In responding to the claims, the Dutch manager said, denying these claims: “Sometimes you shouldn’t believe what is written about players. It’s completely new to me.”
Nunez has most of his career left in front of him, so he will no doubt be looking to turn things around in the future if he eventually leaves Merseyside for pastures green elsewhere.
