Frimpong Manso replaces Kassim Ocansey Mingle, who was relieved of his duties last Sunday.
The club’s decision to appoint Manso reflects its confidence in his ability to restore Nations FC to competitive form in the Ghana Premier League.
Despite coming close to winning the league title in recent seasons, Nations have endured a difficult start to the 2025/26 campaign, managing just two wins in their opening seven games.
Frimpong Manso joins Nations after a successful spell with Bibiani Goldstars, where he guided the team to their maiden Premier League title last season.
A strong advocate for youth development, Frimpong Manso is known for discovering and nurturing young talents. He previously managed Ghana’s National U17 team between 2009–2010 and again in 2025, after serving as assistant coach of the side.
As a player, Frimpong Manso was a stalwart defender for the Black Stars between 1986 and 1995 and featured prominently for Asante Kotoko, where he spent eight years before joining Al Shabab in Kuwait.
