“If we need Andre Ayew, we will call him. At the moment, I see others ahead of him,” coach Addo clarified.
Ayew, 35, has been in impressive form for Ligue 1 side Le Havre, scoring four goals in 11 starts this season.
However, his absence from the Black Stars has not been felt, thanks to the leadership of his brother, Jordan Ayew.

Jordan has captained the team to crucial victories over Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, propelling Ghana to the top of Group I with 15 points and four games remaining.
With 115 appearances and 24 goals for Ghana since his debut in August 2007, Andre Ayew has established himself as one of the country’s most prolific players.
His impressive resume includes two Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final appearances, where Ghana finished as runners-up in 2010 and 2015, losing to Egypt and Cote D’Ivoire, respectively.
Despite recent snubs from the national team, Ayew remains committed to Ghana, insisting he still has a lot to offer.
