Alex Sarfo can operate both in midfield and defense
Pari Nizhny Novgorod sign Ghanaian midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo

Russian Premier League side Pari Nizhny Novgorod have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo.
The 20-year-old joins on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season following a successful agreement with his club Aris Limassol.

A statement on the clubs website stated,
We welcome Alex Sarfo to Nizhny Novgorod! We wish him a successful spell with our club, and many victories in a Pari NN shirt.”
Sarfo, a defensive midfielder, started his professional career in Ghana with Benab FC before moving to Europe. He signed with Aris Limassol but also had a loan stint with AEZ Limassol, gaining valuable top-flight experience.
During his time in Cyprus, Sarfo featured in 69 matches, registering one goal and one assist. He was part of the Aris squad that secured silver in the Cypriot First Division last season.
Known for his tenacity in tackles, stamina, aerial ability, and fighting spirit, Sarfo is also a member of the Ghana U-23 national team.
Alex Sarfo featured in 33 games for Aris Limassol during the 2025/26 season.
