Diego Costa agrees to join Man City this summer
Porto’s Diogo Costa reportedly hands Man City greenlight for summer move

Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa has reportedly given the greenlight to Manchester City for his signing this summer as he eyes a move to England for the next stage of his career.
Costa has a current 75 million Euros release clause in his contract which expires in the summer of 2027, but it appears the 25-year-old is looking for a new stage in his career, particularly under the experienced-Josep Guardiola.
Reports in England this season have shown that Man City first choice goalkeeper Ederson is among several names expected to depart the club this summer in what is expected to be a structural overhaul for the future of the Cityzens.
According to a report by European journalist Santi Aouna, Costa has a verbal agreement with the current English champions, and is aiming for a summer transfer ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Pep Guardiola seems to be a massive fan of the player and has already devised a plan in place for his transition into the team for about the next decade, as per reports.
Should City go all out for Diogo Costa this summer, Porto will reportedly require at least 70 million Euros for the goalkeeper who maintained 44 clean sheets in 99 games between 2021 and 2024.
