This season however under Hansi Flick for Barcelona, Raphinha has got himself in pole position as the favorite for the Ballon d’Or, being top scorer of the UEFA Champions League while producing many clutch moments for club and country.

On Friday against Columbia, Raphinha scored Brazil’s opener and assisted Vinicius Jr’s winner as the Selecao moved into second place on the South American qualification standings.

According to Flashscore, in 47 matches, the Brazilian winger has netted 31 times, assisting on 19 occasions, which is a goal contribution every 70 minutes per the amount of game time afforded him this campaign.

He will be aiming to prove crucial for Brazil once again when they face Argentina on March 25 at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.
