Barcelona forward Raphinha has delivered a passionate message ahead of Brazil’s highly anticipated World Cup qualifying showdown against arch-rivals Argentina.

The two South American giants are set to face off on Tuesday in a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier.

Brazil head into the clash on the back of a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Copa America 2024 runners-up Colombia, with Raphinha and Vinícius Júnior both finding the net.

Now, as the Selecao prepare to take on Argentina in Buenos Aires, Raphinha has issued a rallying call to inspire his teammates ahead of the high-stakes encounter.

“We will beat them, no doubt. On and off the pitch, if we have to,” Raphinha said.

Lionel Messi did not join the reigning world champions for their latest World Cup qualifying round due to a muscular complaint.

Thiago Almada scored for Argentina against Uruguay

Despite the absence of their captain, Argentina secured a 1-0 victory over Uruguay in their most recent qualifier, thanks to a goal from Thiago Almada.

Argentina currently hold a three-point lead at the top of the South American World Cup qualifying table, having won nine, drawn one, and lost three of their 13 matches.

During this run, they have scored 22 goals while conceding just seven.
