Rapid Wien sign Ghanaian teenager Keneth Yeboah Bonsu

Austrian Bundesliga side SK Rapid Wien have completed the signing of Ghanaian teenager Keneth Yeboah Bonsu.
The towering 18-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year contract after impressing during a trial period with the club this summer. He joins from Ghanaian lower-tier outfit Namoro Football Academy.

Yeboah, who previously had trials with Spanish La Liga side Villarreal CF in 2024, will initially feature for Rapid II and has been handed the number 6 jersey.
Standing at 1.97 meters, the left-footed defender is seen as a player with great potential. The club believes his presence will help stabilize the defense in the coming campaign.

Rapid Wien’s Sporting Director Markus Katzer expressed delight over the acquisition:
“With Keneth Yeboah Bonsu, we have acquired a promising central defender for our reserve team. I am sure he will be an asset to the defense and wish him all the best in his new challenge.”
Yeboah himself also shared his excitement after signing his contract.
“I’m very pleased that the move to Hütteldorf worked out. I want to help Rapid II immediately and establish myself as an important part of the team as quickly as possible.”
He is anticipated to play for the U-19 team before a gradual promotion to the senior squad.
