Ghanaian midfielder Richmond Lamptey has sealed a one-year deal with Libyan top-flight club Al Ittihad Misurata SC.

Lamptey, who was part of Ghana’s squad at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, struggled to hit form in Kigali, managing only eight league appearances without a goal or assist.

The midfielder has now completed his move to the Libyan club and set to make his debut in the coming days pending arrival of ITC.

Lamptey joined APR in June 2024 from Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal worth around US$150,000.

The midfielder hopes to regain his form in Libya after a disappointing stint in Rwanda.

Richmond Lamptey has previously featured for West African Football Academy and Inter Allies.
