Simone Inzaghi leaves Inter Milan for a lucrative deal to Al-Hilal
Simone Inzaghi to part ways with Inter Milan

Simone Inzaghi is expected to part ways with Italian giants Inter Milan following a disappointing campaign in Serie A, which was capped off by a humiliating 5-0 loss in the Champions League final at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
Per reports from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inzaghi has decided to leave Inter after meeting with the club’s hierarchy today, following four years with the 20-time Serie A champions.
Inzaghi’s future has been under scrutiny, especially after enduring a poor season – losing out on all silverware at his disposal in the 2024/25 season.

Fabrizio wrote on his X(Twitter page): “Simone Inzaghi and Inter are set to part ways, decision made.
“Inzaghi will now become new Al Hilal head coach, as planned.”
The 49-year-old is now expected to leave the Nerazzurri to join Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, after they presented him with a staggering deal worth €25m net per year, which was hard to turn down.
Following today’s meeting, Inzaghi has reportedly made a final decision to leave Italy to continue his coaching career in the Middle East with Al-Hilal.

Speaking after the meeting with the club chiefs, Inzaghi said:
“The time has come for me to say goodbye to this club after a run of four years during which I gave everything.” Inzaghi wrote in a letter addressed to Inter fans on the club website on Tuesday.
The former Lazio boss guided Inter to one (1) Serie A title, two (2) Coppa Italia titles, three (3) Italian Super Cups, while reaching two (2) Champions League finals.
It is unclear now who will take charge of Inter at the Club World Cup in the United States, which starts on June 14. Inter begin their campaign against Monterrey on June 17 – a day before Al Hilal play against Real Madrid.
Inter finished second in the Serie A this season, one point behind Antonio Conte’s champions Napoli.

Following the announcement of the Italian boss’s departure from the club, there has been speculation that Inter would go after Cesc Fabregas, who guided Como to a 10th-place finish in Serie A.
Inter were in the running for a treble until they lost to arch-rivals AC Milan in the Italian Cup semifinals in April.
Having also been beaten by Milan in the Italian Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia in January – failing to win a single trophy this season.
The Italian tactician’s departure is just one of many expected managerial round-robin moves among the Serie A teams this summer, with Milan, Roma, Atalanta, and others making changes.
