Gerrard’s previous tenure at Rangers was marked by significant success
Steven Gerrard linked with Rangers return

Rangers are intensifying their search for a new head coach following the departure of Philippe Clement in February.
The Scottish giants parted ways with Clement after a 2-0 defeat to St. Mirren, leaving the club without a permanent manager.
Steven Gerrard, who left Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq in January, has been linked with a return to Ibrox, where he managed Rangers from 2018 to 2021.

Although there was speculation that Gerrard could make a comeback, Rangers appointed Barry Ferguson as interim manager for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
After falling short to arch-rivals Celtic in the title race, Rangers have ramped up their efforts to find a permanent successor.
According to The Telegraph, Gerrard remains on the club’s shortlist of candidates.
The report also names other potential candidates, including former Wolves manager Gary O’Neil, ex-Luton Town boss Rob Edwards, and Russell Martin.

Martin had a loan spell at Rangers during his playing career before managing MK Dons, Swansea, and Southampton.
At this stage, there are no clear favourites, as the club want to thoroughly assess all options before making their final decision.
