Tottenham keen to finalize permanent move for midfielder João Palhinha

Tottenham Hotspur are looking keen to make Bayern Munich loanee Joao Palhinha’s move permanent at the end of the season, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Palhinha is on a season-long loan from the Bundesliga champions, but the North London club has an option to make the move permanent for a reported £26 million at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
The 30-year-old have impressed the Premier League side since his summer move back to England, establishing himself as a key player for the club.

Spurs are reportedly keen on keeping him at the Tottenham Stadium beyond this summer, and indications are that the Portuguese will want to sort out his long-term future as well, and joining them permanently would be welcomed.
The former Fulham midfielder struggled for playing time at Bayern last season, but has found life back in the Premier League with Spurs exciting, and he will not want to return to Vincent Kompany’s side.
The Portuguese international is at the peak of his career, and he could be a very useful player for Tottenham in the coming seasons. Regardless of his age, his quality makes his reported asking price quite affordable for Thomas Frank’s side to complete a permanent deal.

Palhinha’s instant impact has been remarkably noticed within the squad, and the club sees him as a very useful player for the coming seasons if signed permanently.
Frank’s side had been craving for a player with such physical and defensive presence in midfield, and Palhinha will look to continue performing at a high level and help his team do well this season once he continues to stay in the squad.
Tottenham managed to win the Europa League trophy last season under former manager Ange Postecoglou, and they will look to win a trophy this season as well under their new manager.
Palhinha will be crucial to their ambitions and has been outstanding for them since joining in the summer transfer window.
Persuading the player should pose little challenge, and they would be wise to expedite the completion of the move, looking at what he brings to the table.
