Ghana will face stiff competition in Group C, where they will battle Senegal, DR Congo, and the Central African Republic for a spot in the quarterfinals.

The Black Starlets will be looking to make a strong impression and progress to the next stage of the competition.

The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will qualify for the quarterfinals.

The four semifinalists will also secure qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, set to be held in Chile in September and October this year.

Ghana boasts a rich history in the U-20 AFCON, having won the tournament four times (1993, 1999, 2009, and 2021).

The country famously lifted the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009. Ghana has not participated in the U-20 World Cup since a Round of 16 exit in 2015.
