After drawing against Nigeria in their opening game, Ghana faces Benin in a match they must win to qualify for the next stage of the competition..
Speaking ahead of the match, Forster made their mission clear: “We’re going all out for a win against Benin.”
With a place in the semi-finals at stake, Ghana need at least a draw to advance, while Benin must win to keep their hopes alive.
Forster, who impressed in Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Nigeria in the opening game, stressed the squad’s determination to secure a positive result. “We’ve worked hard in training, and the team spirit is high. We know what’s at stake, and we’re not going to let this opportunity slip,” he added.
The match will be played at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram and is expected to be fiercely contested, with both teams aware that a semi-final spot—and a step closer to qualifying for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations—is on the line.
The Black Satellites have shown promise under head coach Desmond Ofei, and Forster’s pace and creativity on the flanks could prove crucial as Ghana look to break down a Benin side desperate to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat to Nigeria.
