Luciano Spalletti has revealed Riccardo Calafiori will be assessed to determine whether or not he sustained an injury after limping in Italy’s 1-2 loss to Germany in the UEFA Nations League quarter final first-leg on Thursday.
Calafiori featured for the entirety of the game but looked like he secured an injury after being spotted limping when the match concluded.

Speaking to the media after the game, Spalletti revealed Calafiori’s injury situation is one that is up in the air, but further tests will be conducted to determine whether or not he’s injured.
“We still don’t know if he’s injured. Ricky feels something strange at his knee but we still don’t know”, said Spalletti.
Should it be confirmed that Calafiori is injured, it would be a huge blow for Spalletti and Italy’s chances of staging a comeback in the next days against Germany away from home.
