West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus ‘open’ to joining Tottenham

Kudus made 35 appearances, netted five goals, and registered four assists for the Hammers last season

West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus is open to moving to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs are keen on making Kudus the first player to move directly from their fierce London rivals in more than 10 years.

Romano posted on X: “Talks between Mohammed Kudus and Tottenham on project/personal terms are underway, positive approach.

“Kudus’ open to joining Spurs while talks continue with both player and West Ham sides.

“There are two more clubs still involved in the race.”

Chelsea are also interested in signing Kudus and are ready to compete with the Europa League winners for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Saudi Pro League clubs have also been linked with a summer move for the Ghanaian, with Al Nassr considering an £85m swoop in early April.

However, Kudus wants to continue his career in the Premier League and has turned down interest from Saudi Arabia.

West Ham are open to selling Kudus to help finance a summer rebuild under head coach Graham Potter, and a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer will see him become the first player to move directly from West Ham since midfielder Scott Parker in 2011.

He moved to the London stadium from Eredivisie giants Ajax for £38million and has since racked up 80 appearances, scored 19 goals, and provided 10 assists in all competitions.

Last season, he made 35 appearances, netted five goals, and registered four assists for the Hammers, who finished 14th in the Premier League.

It is believed that Kudus has two release clauses – a £120m Saudi-specific release clause, and an £85m clause for Premier League clubs which is active this summer.
