Jude Bellingham created Madrid’s first goal and scored the second
Xabi Alonso hails Jude Bellingham & Eduardo Camavinga in El Clasico victory

Xabi Alonso openly expressed his admiration for Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga, whom he deemed exceptional, following Real Madrid’s victory over Barcelona in the season’s opening El Clásico, marking his own debut in the fixture.
Bellingham created the first goal, which was beautifully hit by La Liga top scorer and teammate Kylian Mbappe, to put Madrid ahead in the most-watched football fixture in the world.
The English international went further to record a goal for himself after Militao set him up for an easy tap-in from close range to put Madrid ahead after Barcelona had levelled things up through Fermin Lopez.

Alonso lauded Bellingham for his outstanding performance, not only in Sunday’s crucial 2-1 over Barcelona, but also in the Champions League clash against Juventus and last week’s La Liga victory over Getafe.
“He did well against Juve, today and even at Getafe. He’s had three very good games, and we knew that before the last break, he needed minutes to get going and get a feel for things.
“He’s done better than expected after the break. He’s a player who’s very much about feeling, transmitting and connecting. He’s played some very good games.”
French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was not left out amongst the players singled out for their tremendous display against last season’s La Liga champions.
The 22-year-old’s dynamism was in full swing on Sunday, as he displayed full energy and strength in the middle of the park to cut out Barcelona’s passing lanes while chasing almost every ball to help his team close the game out.
“We played with players who have the dynamism to play in different positions. We needed to dominate the midfield and not be weak in that area. The whole team played a great game, but Eduardo (Camavinga) had a tremendous game.”
Overall, the manager views Los Blancos’ victory over the Catalan side as a significant achievement that will lift the team’s morale, despite the many matches still ahead in the season.
“The game was important because of its significance and what it means in terms of morale. It will help us to grow, although there is still a long way to go. Enjoy today and stay calm.”
