Pep Guardiola, a long-time admirer of Paqueta, is keen to bring the Brazilian to the Etihad
Man City retain interest in West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta amid FA hearing

Manchester City remain interested in West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta, despite the ongoing Football Association (FA) investigation into alleged betting breaches, according to TBR Football.
The outcome of the hearing is expected to be decided by next week, with the possibility of Paqueta facing a ban that could severely impact his career.
However, it is believed that West Ham remain “quietly confident” that the Brazilian will avoid any significant punishment.
The potential breach first emerged in 2023, just as Paqueta was nearing a move to Manchester City, who were prepared to pay £85million for his services.

Man City continue to monitor the situation closely, and if Paqueta is cleared of any wrongdoing, they could reignite their pursuit of the 27-year-old midfielder.
Pep Guardiola, a long-time admirer of Paqueta, is keen to bring the Brazilian to the Etihad. The Spanish manager believes Paqueta has the potential to become a key figure in City’s midfield.
Guardiola has made it clear to the club’s hierarchy that he wants them to move forward with negotiations, should the opportunity arise.

Guardiola’s interest in Paqueta dates back to his time at Lyon, and he is now ready to make his move.
Despite spending nearly £200million in January, Man City are planning significant changes to their squad this summer, with midfield being a primary area of focus.
One of the key departures on the horizon is Kevin De Bruyne, whose contract expires in the summer, and a potential move to Major League Soccer (MLS) has been discussed.
Meanwhile, the futures of Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish, and James McAtee are also uncertain, with all three players potentially leaving the club in the near future.
