The PSG sporting director promises to reveal truths about Kylian Mbappe’s departure from the club

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Luis Campos plans to “share everything” in a new book, documenting every secret about Kylian Mbappe’s stay at the Paris club in his final years before leaving to Spain.

Campos is currently working on a book about his three-year stint at the club and could reveal the secrets of Kylian Mbappe’s exit to Real Madrid.

Plans for Campos’ book, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, will look to “share everything” about his work at the club and how he has built the Parisians’ sporting strategy.

The book is expected to throw more insight on the free departure of Mbappe to the Spanish giants. The pair have a long and fruitful relationship, both from their time in Monaco and the French capital.

Mbappe made a “strong” statement after his exit from the club for Real Madrid in 2024, lamenting, had it not been for Campos and his manager Luis Enrique, he’d have likely never played for PSG again following a dispute with top bosses in the summer of 2023.

Mbappe had expressed his intention to remain at the club for the remainder of his contract but depart for free, due to tension that ensued between the player and his employers.

Campos has an unmatched track record in the transfer market, dating from his time at Monaco, where he assembled the side that would win Ligue 1 in 2016-17 season.

The 60-year-old director in his Monaco days, cleverly helped the club to make massive profit from the likes Rafael Leao, Gabriel Margalahes and Nicolas Pepe through sale.

Campos is expected to sign a new contract with the PSG, with his current deal ending in the summer.

He had previously been linked with Arsenal’s vacant sporting director role, which was filled by Andrea Berta last month.
