Goldstars coach Frimpong Manso remains upbeat despite setback

Goldstars will play three of their last four games in the League at home

Bibiani Goldstars coach Frimpong Manso remains confident about the team’s chances of winning the Ghana Premier League title despite a 2-0 defeat to Vision FC.

The loss reduced the gap with Asante Kotoko to three points, but Manso believes the title is still within their grasp.

“We have four games left, three of them at home,” Manso said after the match.

“We know it won’t be easy, but we’re motivated to push harder. Even for the away game, we’ll fight for something. We’re still on course to win the league.”

Manso highlighted the importance of their upcoming home games, stating that they will be crucial in determining their fate in the league.

Goldstars will look to return to winning ways on Sunday when they face Karela United at the Dun’s Park.

The team’s schedule for the remaining four games is quite favorable, with only one away game against Bechem Chelsea in Berekum.

They will host Karela United, Asante Kotoko, and Accra Lions at home, which Manso believes will give them a significant advantage.

As Goldstars push for the title, they will be relying heavily on their passionate home support to make history by winning the League for the first time in their history.

The team is driven by the opportunity to etch their name in Ghanaian football history.

The Ghana Premier League has a history of producing new champions, with no team successfully defending the title since Asante Kotoko in the 2013/14 season.

With Samartex, the previous holders, not in contention for the title this season, it’s likely that a new team will lift the trophy at the end of the season.
