Juventus is looking to bolster its squad in the summer, with England defender Marc Guehi in the mix
Serie A giants identify Crystal Palace star as top target

Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly identified Crystal Palace star defender Marc Guehi as their top target in the summer transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus is looking to bolster its squad with Guehi, making major changes in the defensive areas of the team in the summer.
Guehi has just twelve months left on his current Palace contract, and has major interest from clubs in the Premier League, with Tottenham, Chelsea, and Newcastle among the top contenders for his signature.

Despite multiple links to the player, Juventus have also entered the race after a disappointing season under sacked manager Thiago Motta.
Juventus are now 4th on the Serie A table as they look to increase their chances of securing Champions League football under caretaker boss Igor Tudor.

With interest from major English clubs not being ruled out, the Old Ladies of Italian football chiefs have intensified their chase, brimming with confidence to pip other suitors to Guehi’s signature this summer.
With just 12 months left on his contract, the England international’s potential availability has alerted Juventus chief Cristiano Giuntoli to sign him at a cut-price fee.

Selhurst Park chiefs are said to have demanded a fee in excess of £70m last summer from Newcastle and rejected three bids to solidify their stance.
Despite that, Palace are reported to have also rejected a late interest in January from Tottenham for a similar fee.
Guehi is widely expected to leave Palace this summer, and Juventus are willing to pay around £40m to sign Guehi, a mark seen as “unentertaining” as a result of their financial situation.
But there is still a chance that Guehi could stay at the club, with Palace not willing to sell for a bargain price.

Fabrizio Romano had earlier in the week suggested that the potential for Guehi to stay at the club for another 12 months before departing on a free transfer is possible.
This suggests Palace will stick to their decision concerning their huge asking price for the 24-year-old defender.
Palace face a fight to hold on to their star players after a fantastic season that has seen them reach the FA Cup final, with Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eberechi Eze both attracting big interest from across the Premier League and Europe.
