We want to be in the European final again- says Lautaro

Inter Milan marksman Lautaro Martinez has sent a strong message to FC Barcelona ahead of the crunch second semi-final of the UEFA Champions League set to take place on Wednesday.

This season, Lautaro has continued his fine form and has been involved in over 30 goal contributions as Inter eye a second European final in three seasons.

Barcelona last failed to win on both occasions the last time the two teams came up against each other in the 2022/23 campaign, and it appears Martinez is aiming to hurt the Catalan defence once again.

Speaking to the press about beating Barcelona to reach the final, Martinez said: “We are very excited because in the last three years we have reached the UCL semi-finals twice. We are doing a great job in this important tournament… The dream of our fans is for Inter to play in the Champions League final again.”

Inter have failed to secure a win in their last three games across all competitions. Lautaro Martinez nonetheless insists that the team knows what is at stake and will do everything within its power to reverse the situation.

“Maybe after the last three defeats, a lot has been said about us, but the truth is that the group is in good condition.  We have a lot of strength, and we have a great desire and enthusiasm for this match”, he added.
