“We need a good result to guarantee qualification, and we’re treating this match with the urgency it deserves,” Ofei said.
He also acknowledged CAR’s attacking prowess, labeling them a “very enterprising team” that has scored in every game so far.
Ofei warned against complacency, emphasizing that CAR’s hardworking nature makes them a formidable opponent.
“We can’t afford to be complacent against a side that has shown they can hurt teams. We must remain focused and composed.”
The coach expressed confidence in his team’s preparation, revealing that the technical team has devised a solid strategy that the players are ready to execute.
“Our team is prepared, and we’ve worked on our plan. Now it’s about delivering on the pitch.”
Currently, Ghana are joint top of Group C with DR Congo, both with 4 points.
A draw could be enough to send the Black Satellites through to the next phase of the competition, but Ofei emphasised the need for a strong performance.
Ofei also praised the host nation, Egypt, for their excellent organization of the tournament.
“The tournament has been well-organized, and I’m really enjoying being here. Egypt has done a fantastic job.”
With qualification within reach, the Black Satellites will aim to conclude the group stage with a strong performance and advance to the next phase of the competition.
