Viktor Gyokeres responds to exit talk amid Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd interest

The Sweden international has been in sensational form this season

Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres says he is uncertain about his future amid mounting interest from Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

The Sweden international has been in sensational form this season, and his prolific goal-scoring exploits have not gone unnoticed.

With 39 goals to his name, including a decisive strike in Saturday’s win over Vitória SC that sealed the Primeira Liga title for Sporting, a summer move appears increasingly likely.

Reports suggest Arsenal are leading the race for his signature, with negotiations now said to be at an advanced stage.

The Gunners have reportedly tabled a five-year contract offer worth nearly £9million per season.

Speaking after the title-clinching match, Gyokeres was asked if it was his farewell appearance at the Estádio José Alvalade.

He responded by saying he does not yet know what the future holds, opting to focus on the celebrations rather than the speculation.

He said to Sport TV: “It’s football, I’m still here. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Nobody can predict the future.”

Instead, Gyokeres chose to focus on the victory that secured the title and looked ahead to next Sunday’s Taça de Portugal final against Benfica.

He added: “I’m very happy, it was a game that went well for us. Very happy to score and win.

“Everything, it’s what we wanted. Incredible. We can see the support we’ve had. So many people in the streets, not just today, but even when it’s raining in November and December.

“It’s incredible when there are so many people. Now we want to celebrate together.”

“We are in the final, we want to win in the finals. We play the finals to win. But now we want to celebrate and not think about that.”
