Cole Palmer set for smaller Chelsea bonus despite Europa Conference League run

Cole Palmer is reportedly poised to receive a smaller bonus than some of his Chelsea teammates if they win the Europa Conference League.
According to The Sun, Chelsea players will be rewarded with a bonus should they defeat Real Betis next week to claim the Conference League title for the first time.
However, Palmer is expected to earn less from the bonus scheme because he was deliberately rested and did not feature in the competition’s group stages.

He has made just five appearances in the tournament so far, whereas players like Filip Jorgensen, who has featured in 13 games, will receive larger bonuses tied to the number of matches played.
The report also notes that if the Blues secure qualification for next season’s Champions League, the players’ earnings will increase substantially.
But given that many of the squad already earn thousands of pounds per week, this financial boost may not have a significant impact for some.

The main goal remains winning the Conference League and securing Europa League football for next season.
This season, Palmer has been impressive, scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists across 44 appearances in all competitions.
In his five Conference League outings, he has contributed one assist from three starts.
Before the Conference League final against Betis next Wednesday, Chelsea currently sit fifth in the Premier League and face seventh-placed Nottingham Forest this Sunday.
A win, combined with favorable results elsewhere, could secure Chelsea a coveted Champions League spot.
