Arsenal are looking to register their first summer signing, as they keep up with Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal advance in negotiation for Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal are on the hunt for serious and more consistent firepower next season and have their sights set on RB Leipzig’s prolific forward, Benjamin Sesko, with negotiations between the two parties set to be advanced.
According to the reports, Arsenal are now advancing in negotiations for Benjamin Sesko after initial concrete talks with the player’s representatives were reported last week.
Discussions between both sides are underway and progressing well between all parties involved – the player and clubs.

However, all parties have not been able to agree on anything yet, and are not likely to do so this weekend.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on his X(Twitter) post: “Understand Arsenal are now advancing in negotiations for Benjamin Šeško after initial concrete talks reported last week.
“Discussions underway and proceeding well between all parties involved, player & clubs.
“No agreement yet now or expected this weekend; but advancing, said Fabrizio.”
In early May, Sesko hinted at a potential Premier League move amid interest from several Premier League giants, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

Despite the Slovenian’s desire to play in the English top-flight, the Leipzig striker reportedly has a “performance-related” release clause in his contract, which is currently thought to be worth around £80 million, which has put other suitors off.
The 21-year-old scored 21 goals, while providing six assists in all competitions in the 2024/25 season.
Arsenal are now reportedly leading the race to bring the young talent to the English elite competition next season.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s side have also been linked with other top European strikers, such as Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, Liam Delap, Hugo Ekitike, Ollie Watkins, and Alexander Isak.
As it stands, only two of the shortlisted names are closer to Arsenal’s reach, having already ruled out signing Isak from Newcastle United due to a potential £100m price tag.
The Gunners have now set their focus on adding 21-year-old Sesko, and Gyokeres, 26, who would cost either £75m or below due to various clauses and agreements.
Arteta and Arsenal are in desperate need of a clinical striker and will settle for either Sesko or Gyokeres, who have been sensational throughout last season’s campaign.
