Chelsea submit €15m offer for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan

Chelsea have made a bid worth €15m (£13m) for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs.
An agreement has yet to be reached between the clubs, as the Blues want the deal finalised in time for the upcoming Club World Cup.

Jacobs posted on X: “Chelsea have made their €15m valuation of Mike Maignan clear, and the Milan goalkeeper is keen on a move. Nothing agreed yet between clubs.
“A deal Chelsea are prepared to do in time for the Club World Cup, but Milan’s asking price would need to drop to make it happen.”
Maignan, who has been linked with an exit in recent months, is high on the Blues’ shortlist this summer as Enzo Maresca looks to bring in a new shot-stopper following Robert Sanchez’s inconsistent performances last season.
The 27-year-old made the most errors leading directly to a goal in the Premier League last campaign.

Chelsea were reportedly not in the market for a goalkeeper as they assess their current options of Filip Jorgensen, Djordje Petrovic, Sanchez, and Mike Penders, who will join the club from Genk.
However, the Europa Conference League winners are keen to sign Maignan, having kept tabs on the France No.1 goalkeeper since his time at Lille.
Maignan racked up 53 appearances across all competitions last season for AC Milan, who finished eighth in Serie A and failed to qualify for any European competition.
The Frenchman has just one year remaining on his current Milan contract. The Rossoneri are under no pressure to sell Mike Maignan, but a summer departure is likely.
