Jamie Gittens set to undergo Chelsea medical

Jamie Gittens is expected to undergo his Chelsea medical next week ahead of completing his transfer from Borussia Dortmund, according to BBC Sport.
The Blues saw a bid of £55m for Gittens accepted by Dortmund. He has already agreed a seven-year contract with Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca’s side had an improved bid of €50m for the Dortmund star rejected, having already seen an initial bid of €35m turned down.

The 20-year-old racked up 48 appearances, scored 12 goals, and provided five assists for Niko Kovac’s side last season.
In total, he has featured in 106 games, netted 17 times, and registered 14 assists for Dortmund during his time at the club.
The England U21 international joined Dortmund from Manchester City five years ago and has spent his entire senior career with the Bundesliga giants.
Gittens was identified as Chelsea’s primary target to replace Jadon Sancho, who returned to Manchester United following his loan spell, which cost the Blues a £5m penalty fee.

Mykhailo Mudryk also remains unavailable after he was provisionally suspended. He has been charged by the Football Association (FA) with violating its anti-doping rules after failing a drugs test.
Gittens will not be able to feature in the ongoing Club World Cup because he has appeared in it for Dortmund.
The Englishman is set to become Chelsea’s fourth summer signing, following the arrivals of Liam Delap, Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr, with Andrey Santos also returning from his loan spell at Strasbourg.
Estevao Willian will join the Blues’ squad after his Club World Cup campaign with Palmeiras.
