Arsenal have initiated discussions to sign Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze this summer, aiming to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

According to Fichajes, the Gunners began talks with Eze’s representatives over the weekend, with hopes of swiftly concluding the transfer.

The Premier League runners-up see Eze as a valuable addition to bolster their attacking depth for the 2025/26 campaign.

The 26-year-old contributed 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions for Crystal Palace, while also scoring the decisive goal in a thrilling 1-0 FA Cup victory over Manchester City, clinching the club’s first major trophy in 120 years.

The English international’s impressive performances over the past two seasons have drawn significant attention, and he is expected to compete with Gabriel Martinelli for a starting position if signed by Mikel Arteta’s side.

Martinelli’s underwhelming performances in recent months have highlighted the need for competition, with Eze considered a potential upgrade over the Brazilian.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur, another London rival, have also been linked with the talented attacker this summer.

However, a report from TBR football claims that Daniel Levy has cooled their pursuit of the England international, handing Arsenal the lead to land the forward.

Tottenham need more quality and cutting edge in the final third as well, but Eze will not be a cheap acquisition for the Europa League winners.

Spurs have also been linked with players like Mohammed Kudus, who could be a cheaper option, and it will be intriguing to see how the transfer situation develops.
