Barcelona release new home kit ahead of 2025/26 season

Barcelona have officially revealed their home kit for the 2025–26 season, accompanied by a promotional video that breaks away from the typical corporate style. The new design blends the club’s iconic red and blue colors into a unique purple hue spread across five broad stripes. This fresh look marks the reigning Spanish treble winners’ latest effort to excite fans as they aim for their first Champions League title in over a decade.

The video stars six of Barcelona’s most recognizable players, representing a mix of youth and experience. Pedri, Fermín López, and Alejandro Balde, the club’s promising young talents, joined veterans Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, the squad’s oldest member to showcase the kit. Filmed in a relaxed garden setting, the players engaged in seemingly unscripted conversations that sparked genuine laughter both on camera and among viewers.
The short clip begins with the players sharing their initial thoughts on the new jersey. While most stuck to simple praise like “I liked it,” one player was humorously given the line that the kit “smells like champions.” The lighthearted tone sets the stage for a more candid moment later in the video, when the group takes a break from a casual keepie-uppie game to sit on sun loungers and reflect on the future.
Shaping the future. We are an eager, hungry team with a lot to say and everything ahead of us. We are here to forge the path not follow it. This is us – real, approachable, unfiltered. We speak how we feel, we dress how we want and we play as we know how. The future starts here.… pic.twitter.com/q8rFQyQA7i

Fermín López poignantly remarks, “Five years is a long time,” prompting Lewandowski, who will turn 37 next month, to joke, “I’m going to be done for. I can’t talk about five years from now, you know.” Raphinha added a humorous note about his own future, saying, “In five years, I’ll be at home with Gael watching these guys on TV.” The youngest player, Yamal, chimed in, “I’ll only be 22. I’m totally screwed,” sparking laughter from everyone, including Lewandowski, who playfully covered his face in mock dismay.
