Asante Kotoko have expressed strong interest in securing the services of former Hearts of Oak midfielder Salim Adams, Footiecenter.com understands.

Adams joined Hearts in 2021 and enjoyed a bright debut season, which earned him a season-long loan move to Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati.
He returned to play in the second half of the 2023/24 season, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist in 14 appearances. Last season, he made 10 league appearances, scoring once, before departing from the capital-based giants.
Sources indicate that Kotoko has begun negotiations with the player’s representatives and is optimistic about finalizing a deal soon.
Despite receiving offers from clubs in Sweden and Serbia, the midfielder is reportedly leaning towards joining the Porcupine Warriors for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
Salim is currently at home, waiting for the results of discussions between his representatives and interested clubs.
Karim Zito, Kotoko’s coach, who previously worked with Salim on Ghana’s U-20 national team, is reported to have supported the club’s pursuit of the player.
The lanky midfielder, who began his career with New Edubiase United, could now be set for a big move to the Baba Yara Stadium.
