Former Dreams FC striker Abdul Basit Khalid joins FK Dukagjini

Former Dreams FC forward Abdul Basit Khalid has completed a move to Kosovo top-flight side FK Dukagjini, signing for the club after passing his medical examinations.
The 29-year-old Ghanaian attacker has been without a club since parting ways with Libyan side El Etthiad in February this year. His move marks a return to Kosovar football, where he previously impressed with FC Prishtina.

In an official statement, FK Dukagjini announced:
“We are pleased to announce the agreement reached with striker Basit Abdul Khalid.
The 29-year-old from Ghana joins our family for this season, bringing with him experience and quality in the offensive unit.
Everyone at the club welcomes Khalid and wishes him the best of luck with our shirt!”
Khalid’s arrival is seen as a key reinforcement for Dukagjini’s ambitions this season, with fans eager to see him in action once again.
This move represents the tenth club in Khalid’s professional career since leaving Dreams FC.
He first joined Prishtina in 2016, where he enjoyed a productive three-year spell, scoring 30 goals in 105 appearances and winning the Kosovo Cup in the 2016/17 season.
After his time in Kosovo, Khalid had stints with KF Teuta in Albania, Makedonija Gjorce Petrov in North Macedonia where he netted 8 goals and provided 3 assists in the 2020/21 season before moving to Espérance de Tunis in Tunisia.
He later featured for FC Sheriff in Moldova and Al-Tadamon SC in Kuwait.
Khalid’s wealth of experience across multiple leagues makes him a valuable addition to FK Dukagjini as they aim for a strong campaign in the Kosovo Superliga.
