Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold is nearing a comeback from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for over a month, and is set to return for the midweek Champions League clash against Juventus.

Alexander-Arnold is in the race to make the squad against Juventus after resuming group training. However, Xabi Alonso remains uncertain about the fitness of Dani Carvajal and Dean Huijsen ahead of Sunday’s Clasico against Barcelona, with several key players undergoing late fitness tests during a critical week for Real Madrid.

According to AS, Madrid have received a positive report as Alexander-Arnold completed a substantial portion of training with the squad, signalling expectations for his potential inclusion in the Champions League match against Juventus.

His recovery has progressed well after beinf sidelined for several weeks with injury, and Madrid medical team are positive he could be named in the travelling squad if he complete an extra training session without discomfort.

With a packed schedule and El Clasico looming, the plan is to involve him against the Italian giants to assess his rhythm and readiness.
