A statement on the club’s official website read:

“The wait is over! The experienced gaffer KOBINA AMISSAH is now officially at the helm as our Head Coach. Let’s welcome him and get ready for an exciting journey ahead!”.

The former Homestars FC boss arrives as a free agent, having recently parted ways with the Division One side.

Bechem United have endured a tough run this season, managing just one win in their opening eight matches.

A goalless home draw against Nations FC proved to be the final straw, leading the club’s board to part company with Issah-Botchway and his assistant, Bright Anthony Konadu.

Amissah is expected to officially begin work on Wednesday as preparations continue for their Matchday 9 fixture against Young Apostles this weekend his first major test in charge.

Renowned for his tactical acumen and experience in Ghanaian football, Amissah famously guided Bibiani GoldStars to their historic promotion to the Premier League.

He has also managed Elmina Sharks, Sekondi Hasaacas, and Berekum Chelsea during his coaching career.
