Barcelona are concerned about Lamine Yamal’s pubalgia injury
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente defends Lamine Yamal call-up

Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has defended Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal‘s call-up to the Spain World Cup qualification squad, amid fears of injury issues with the youngster.
Spain line up in a crucial double World Cup encounter against Georgia and Turkey in the upcoming international break.
De la Fuente insists that the 18-year-old is in “perfect shape” to contribute to Spain’s qualification, despite concerns from Barcelona about Yamal’s pubalgia injury.

The Catalan prodigy, who missed the previous international window with a persistent groin issue, has been recalled for the double header in November.
The decision to include Yamal comes amid news of tension with his club. Barcelona manager Hansi Flick previously lashed out at the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for “failing to take care” of young players.
However, De la Fuente has strongly defended the selection, highlighting the player’s recent surge to form and the importance of the upcoming fixtures.
Speaking at the press conference, the Spain manager resolved that the winger is fit to play and dismissed suggestions he was being rushed back.
De la Fuente cited the superstar’s recent performances for Barcelona, where he has started the last six matches, as evidence of his fitness.
“I think the answer is obvious. I watched his last game, and I believe he’s in perfect condition,” De la Fuente stated. “His coach said he was ready to play. He’s getting back to being the player he always has been, and we celebrate that. He will stay with us as long as we consider it appropriate.
“Watching the game the other day, Lamine is fit to play. We have two very important games and we need to field our best players. We have two hugely important matches to qualify for the World Cup, the stakes are massive and we want the best players with us.”
