Alphonso Davies to be sidelined for 6 months due to ACL tear

Alphonso Davies tears ACL

Bayern Munich fullback Alphonso Davies is reportedly sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering an Anterior Crucial Ligament (ACL) tear in his right knee.

Davies played a part for Canada in their Concacaf Nations League third place clash against USA, but was taken off after only 12 minutes of action due to injury.

It seemed far from a major scare right after the game as Canada coach Jesse Marsch expressed optimism for the severity of Davies’ injury.

Nonetheless, after further examination on the player’s knee, it is now confirmed that Davies will be out for the next six months after tearing his ACL.

On social media, fans of Bayern Munich are in despair, knowing how crucial Davies would have been for the rest of their season.

Alphonso has previously been a victim to numerous injuries like lateral collateral ligament tears, torn ankle ligaments and knee ligament strains.

Alphonso Davies will be aiming to bounce back strong for next season, knowing his recovery after his ACL tear could be reportedly complete before the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
