Tottenham suffered their 15th league loss of the 2024/25 season
Ange Postecoglou clashes with fan after Tottenham’s defeat to Fulham

Ange Postecoglou was left fuming after Tottenham’s 2-0 defeat at Fulham on Sunday, as tensions boiled over in the tunnel following the loss.
The defeat marked Tottenham’s 15th league loss of the 2024/25 season, with goals from Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon securing a comfortable win for Fulham at Craven Cottage.
As Ange Postecoglou made his way into the tunnel after the match, a verbal altercation ensued with a Tottenham fan, who repeatedly shouted, “What was that?” at the Australian coach.
Bayern Munich loanee Mathys Tel intervened, stepping in to defuse the situation and act as a peacemaker.

Postecoglou’s Future at Tottenham is Up In the Air
Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain, with the club slipping to 14th in the Premier League standings.
Earlier in the season, reports suggested the club had no intention of parting ways with the 59-year-old, despite a crippling injury crisis.
However, with the latest incident and growing unrest among supporters, the head coach’s position could be at risk by the end of the season, as he appears to have lost the trust of the fans.
The result leaves Spurs languishing in 13th place, with 34 points from 29 games, marking their joint-most losses at this stage of a league season since 1997-98.
Any hopes of securing European football next season now depend entirely on winning the Europa League.
Postecoglou expressed frustration over the “soft” goals his team conceded in the loss to Fulham.
“Fifteen defeats nowhere near good enough,” said Postecoglou.
“We can’t let this league season go the way it has. We’ve lost way too many games, unacceptable.
“I understand the supporters’ frustrations with that. It was another day where we let a game get away from us when we shouldn’t. We had chances to go 1-0 up which would have put pressure on them, then they scored a really soft goal.”
