Ange Postecoglou provides injury update on Spurs duo ahead of Nottingham Forest tie

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has delivered an injury update on key players James Maddison and Son Heung-min ahead of Monday night’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
Spurs return to domestic action following a thrilling 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday.
They’ll be back on home soil at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, hosting a Forest side managed by former Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Forest have been in impressive form and are currently pushing for a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Postecoglou revealed that Maddison is a doubt for the game, while Son has been ruled out entirely.
The Spurs captain missed last weekend’s defeat to Wolves as well as the midweek victory in Germany due to a foot injury.
Although Son was spotted in training prior to the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final, he ultimately did not travel with the squad.

Maddison, meanwhile, was forced off during the Frankfurt win after a heavy collision with goalkeeper Kaua Santos.

The playmaker had latched onto a lofted pass from Cristian Romero and attempted to head the ball over the onrushing keeper, who clattered into him.
The incident earned Spurs a penalty, which Dominic Solanke confidently converted, but Maddison was substituted shortly after, replaced by Dejan Kulusevski.
According to Postecoglou, Maddison remains “sore” and will be assessed ahead of the Forest clash.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, the Australian said: “We had the day off yesterday as we didn’t get back until the early hours of Friday morning.
“Madders is probably a bit sore so a doubt for Monday. Sonny is still out.”
