Alexander-Arnold is due to rejoin team training on Friday
Arne Slot offers update on Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of Leicester clash

Arne Slot has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold could make a return to action for Liverpool against Leicester this weekend, although he is not yet fit to start.
The right-back resumed training earlier this week, offering the Reds some hope that he might feature in Sunday’s match.
Alexander-Arnold has been sidelined since sustaining an ankle injury during the second leg of Liverpool’s Champions League last-16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

He has been spotted at Anfield in recent matches, and with his two teammates, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, both securing new contracts this week, all eyes have turned to Alexander-Arnold.
Van Dijk followed Salah’s lead by signing a two-year extension, sparking further speculation regarding the future of Liverpool’s vice-captain.
Alexander-Arnold has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and many expect this to be his next destination. However, it seems he will play for Liverpool once more before any potential departure.
Slot confirmed that Alexander-Arnold’s return is still uncertain, with the defender likely only available for a place on the bench against Leicester.

The Liverpool manager has ruled out the possibility of the England international starting this weekend, despite his recent return to training.
“Trent is coming back from an injury, he trained with us yesterday, and every time he plays with us and trains with us, he shows his commitment,” Slot said.
“He’s worked so hard to be back already now, and the moment he’s on the pitch, he shows me what a great football player he is, and how much he’s involved in us trying to achieve our goals this season.
“Trent is not ready to start but if things go well today and tomorrow, he might – might – be on the bench.”
Liverpool could be without two key players for their trip to Leicester.
Joe Gomez remains sidelined after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury, while Darwin Nunez is expected to return after missing the win over West Ham due to illness.
