He is expected to start work immediately with a huge summer coming up for Arsenal.
The club are looking to sign a new striker with Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko high on the list.
Martin Zubimendi, a midfielder for Real Sociedad, has also been heavily linked with the club.
Athletic Club winger Nico Williams is also seen as one of the targets for a forward position.
Arsenal have failed to win the Premier League title since 2004.
They came close with Mikel Arteta in the last two seasons, finishing second behind Manchester City on both occasions.
The club is set to lose out on the title this season too with Liverpool creating a huge gap.
Arsenal’s only hope of winning silverware in the 2024/25 season is the Champions League.
The North London club is currently in the quarterfinals of the competition and will face current champions Real Madrid.
