Arsenal have yet to make an official bid for Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal unwilling to pay RB Leipzig’s demands for Sesko

Arsenal are keen on securing a deal for a new striker with their eyes focused on RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko for a summer move.
However, the Gunners are revealed to be unwilling to succumb to Leipzig’s €80–100 million demands for the young striker, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Plettenberg adds that there has been no official bid from Andrea Berta, Arsenal’s sporting director, but Arsenal and the player’s representatives remain in contact, while personal terms are also yet to be fully agreed between both parties.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are still monitoring the situation with Sporting CP’s prolific striker Viktor Gyokeres, with a move for the Swedish frontman not ruled out for a fee between €60–70 million.

Arsenal, likewise, and other Premier League suitors who seem to have had a verbal agreement with Gyokeres’ camp over a verbal agreement still wander in limbo after the Sporting club president Frederico Varanda came out to refute any such deal, termed as a cut-price “gentleman’s agreement” to sign the 27-year-old for a fee less than his reported release clause of €100m.
Standing on business, Plattenberg wrote on his X page: “Arsenal are currently not willing to pay the €80–100m demanded by RB Leipzig for Benjamin #Sesko.
“There has been no official offer from Arsenal yet.
“Arsenal and the player’s camp remain in contact, but personal terms are not yet fully agreed.
“Arsenal are still monitoring Victor #Gyökeres. It will be crucial to see whether he can move for the verbally agreed €60–70m, or if Sporting will demand more.
The Slovenian international enjoyed a brilliant season in the Bundesliga, bagging 13 goals and 5 assists in 33 appearances for the German club in the 2024/25 season.
During the early days in May, reports indicated that Arsenal were in negotiations with the player’s camp, which is set to be in advanced stages.
Arsenal’s desperate search for a convincing striker still drags on as they prepare to snatch the Premier League right from the noses of last season’s winners, Liverpool, in the 2025/25 season.
