Zackaria is the club’s fourth signing in this transfer window.
Asante Kotoko sign defender Zackaria Fuseini on three-year deal

Asante Kotoko have officially announced the signing of experienced centre-back Zackaria Fuseini on a three-year contract, bolstering their defensive ranks ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The 27-year-old has joined the Porcupine Warriors from Berekum Chelsea, where he established himself as one of the league’s most dependable defenders.
Since making his debut as a teenager, Fuseini has accumulated 133 appearances and has served as the team’s captain, becoming a crucial part of their defense. He also had an opportunity to play abroad with the Spanish club San Fernando CD, where he gained valuable international experience.

Renowned for his composure, leadership, and excellent game-reading ability, Fuseini is expected to bring stability and maturity to Kotoko’s backline as the club undergoes a major rebuild.
Speaking to Kotoko Media, Fuseini expressed his enthusiasm about the new chapter in his career:
“I’m honoured to be joining Asante Kotoko. This is the platform I’ve always hoped for to take my career to the next level. My focus is to help the team win trophies and work hard for a place in the Black Stars—because I know I’m good enough.”
He added: “Some say this move came a few years late, but I don’t think so. I’m arriving with maturity and experience, and I’m fully prepared for the pressure of representing a club of this magnitude.”
Fuseini is the latest player to join Kotoko as the club aims to reinforce its dominance in both the Ghana Premier League and on the continental level. The Porcupines have already signed Hubert Gyau, Johnson Oppong, and Francis Acquah.
