They will be hoping their new bid is enough to convince the Saints to part ways with the player.
Having initially struggled to live up to the huge transfer fee paid to sign him by Southampton in the January 2023 transfer window, Sulemana emerged as one of the standout players for the Saints last season.
Southampton were relegated from the Premier League in the 2024-25 campaign. They finished bottom of the table with just 12 points and two wins from their 38 league games.
The Ghanaian scored one goal and provided one assist in 26 league games. In total, he racked up 30 appearances, netted twice, and registered three assists across all competitions.
Former Southampton manager Ivan Juric is now in charge of Atalanta and is looking to reunite with Sulemana, whose contract expires in the summer of 2027.
