Head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, says he is satisfied with his team’s performance following their goalless draw against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Monday.
The Kpando-based side maintained their unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign after holding the Phobians to a stalemate at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Both sides created chances but failed to find the back of the net, settling for a point each after a closely contested encounter.
Speaking after the game, Bashir Hayford praised his players for earning valuable points from two difficult away fixtures against Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
“I think we have done very well. It was a tough game, and I think my boys managed them. One point, I think, is enough. We have played away twice and drawn both. We must now make amends at home,” he said.
Heart of Lions currently sit second on the league table with 11 points after five matches. They will aim to return to winning ways when they host struggling Bibiani Gold Stars on Monday, October 20.
