Bayern aim to sign Jonathan Tah this summer
Bayern Munich eye the free signing of Jonathan Tah

Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing the signing of Jonathan Tah on a free transfer this summer after the player announced he’s set to depart Bayer Leverkusen this year.
Tah joined Leverkusen back in 2015 and has spent 10 years at the club, but Bayern are aiming to bring him in this summer although FC Barcelona are reportedly favorites to land the German defender.
This year, Bayern have been struck with loads of injuries in the defensive department, and it is certainly an area of their game coach Vincent Kompany is looking to improve for the 2025/26 campaign.
About a fortnight ago, Tah told media outlet Kicker that he will be departing Leverkusen this summer, and nothing can make him reverse his decision at this point of the campaign.
“Everything was said from the start. There was a point in time when I made the decision not to extend my contract and not to stay here”, he said.
Bayern will have to act quickly if they want to sign Tah, who is also reportedly on the radar of Real Madrid, as Los Blancos have lacked options in central defence in recent years.
