Benab, Ebony secure wins in thrilling Ashanti Regional Middle League opener

The 2024/25 Ashanti Regional Division Two promotional tournament got off to an exciting start on Friday, May 2, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The mini-tourney, which brings together the champions of the various Division Two zones in the Ashanti Region, promises to be an entertaining competition with the ultimate winner securing qualification to the national first division championship.

The first day of the tournament produced some thrilling matches, with Zone Two champions Mid City FC kicking off the competition with a 2-2 draw against Sasaamo Panin, winners of Zone Three.

In another Group A match, Ebony FC got off to a flying start with a 1-0 win over Pro Sports Academy, courtesy of a first-half goal.
In Group B, Zone One winners Adom FC started their campaign with a 3-2 win over Acceler8z.
The last game of the first group matches saw Zone Seven conquerors Benab FC edge out Jonnboe FC 1-0, thanks to a second-half strike from Imam.
The Match-day two promises to be exciting as teams fight for supremacy and bragging rights at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
